A Finnish casino hotel concept

Twenty thousand islands. One ferry a day.

Step into a weathered adults-only casino salon, granite-island suites over open water, harbour cooking straight off the boats and a sauna built on the rocks—held inside one casino hotel far out in the Baltic archipelago.

A new Finnish escape

Where getting there is most of the point.

Saaristo Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination set far out in the Finnish archipelago, on a low granite island where the mainland is a rumour and the ferry comes once. Bleached pine, sea-worn stone and salt-faded shell tones run through every room, and the whole casino hotel was built from what the water allowed.

Walk the rock shelf at low light. Watch the day's catch come in against the jetty. Then push open the heavy door into our adults-only casino salon while the wind works at the windows. Nothing about this casino hotel is convenient, and every guest who makes the crossing says that is exactly why it works.

The casino · 18+ only

Play while the wind gets up.

A close, warm casino salon built for long island evenings, real conversation and responsible entertainment at the heart of the casino hotel.

Laituri Restaurant

Whatever the boats brought in.

Our signature restaurant sits at the head of the jetty and cooks what arrives at it. Baltic herring cured three ways, pike-perch straight off the line, smoked salmon from the shed behind the kitchen, new potatoes, dill, rye and a bowl of something warm when the wind turns. Nothing is flown in, which means some evenings the menu is short—a short walk from the casino hotel salon.

Wellness on the rocks

Heat above water.

Reset your rhythm with wood heat, open sea and long unhurried rest on the exposed side of the island, well apart from the casino hotel's evening energy.

The Rock Sauna

A wood-fired sauna built directly onto the granite shelf, with a ladder down into open Baltic water and nothing beyond it.

Sea & Juniper Treatments

Restorative therapies using juniper, sea salt and island clay, timed to the weather rather than to the clock.

The Wind Shelter

A glazed cooling room facing the horizon, built for sitting still and doing nothing before the casino evening begins.

Essential information about this casino hotel and its adults-only casino facilities in Finland.

Yes. Casino entry at this casino hotel is strictly limited to guests aged 18 or over, in line with Finnish regulations. Valid government-issued photo identification may be requested at the casino entrance.
One scheduled ferry runs daily in season, crossing in a little under two hours. The casino hotel can also arrange a private boat transfer, though both depend entirely on the weather.
It happens several times each season. Guests already on the island simply stay another night at the casino hotel rate, and arriving guests are rebooked without charge. The sea decides, not the schedule.
In practice, rarely. With one ferry a day, almost everyone who reaches the casino floor is staying at least one night at the casino hotel.
Patchy at best, and that is not considered a fault. There is reliable wifi in the main house and at the casino hotel front desk, and almost nowhere else.
Yes. Guidance on limits, breaks, self-exclusion and independent Finnish support services should be available throughout the casino gaming area and at the casino hotel front desk.
